Craig City School District is located in Craig Alaska on Prince of Wales Island. Craig is located approximately 56 miles Northwest of Ketchikan and 220 miles South of Juneau by air.

 Living in the "Banana Belt" of Alaska we enjoy a moderate year round temperature relative to the rest of the state between 33 - 64 degrees. Most locals agree they prefer their precipitation in liquid form. Prince of Wales has 260 miles of paved highway that lead the way to several communities, campgrounds, and public waters dotted through the Tongass National Forest. Culture can be found across the island in the form of totem parks, local artist's shops, and in the classroom. 

All of this adds up to an easy place to love which is a big part of why many of us have chosen to stay and celebrate several years with the district.
